Quality Hair Extensions

Quality hair extensions can help you to have more fun and try new looks the safer way. Celebrities today need to be up-to-date with the latest trends and with the ever-changing fashion scenario; it becomes a difficult task keeping pace with new styles and looks. With quality hair extensions, you can try out that look you really wanted to have, all these years. Hair extensions can let you add at least 30 inches length to your original hair length. Basically, hair extensions simply let you add a dash of fun to your personality. Waking up in the morning with lovely long locks that are styled as per desire would be the dream of many fashion conscious women.

Quality Hair ExtensionsQuality Hair Extensions:
When you’re planning to go in this direction, remember quality hair extensions are a must. After all, it’s your hair you are playing around with, so remember to play it safe! Firstly, we need to know about the texture of the hair extensions available.

Real Human Hair Extensions-Genuine human hairs are used for such extensions and these can be safely said to be quality hair extensions. The method employed in such cases is basically the same everywhere. The original color of the human hair is removed so that it can be colored into various shades as desired.

Types of Quality Hair Extensions:
There are different types of hair extensions used for this process.

Weft Hair Extensions:
Quality Hair Extensions
Weaving is a process where a corn row or track is created around the head and close to the scalp. Extension hair is sewn on the tracks. Your own hair lies over the tracks for a natural look
These hair extensions have a band of fine threads attached to the topside. These are free flowing towards the bottom area. Wefted hair extensions can be made with the help of machines as well as by hand. These come in the range of fine, medium or even heavy hair wefts. Hair that is wefted by hand may prove to be a little expensive then machine tied hair. Weft hair extensions are attached to the hair with the help of a sewing method. Wefts are known to last longer than other types of hair extensions and can be woven into your hair for a natural look..

Individual Hair Extensions:

This process is done strand by strand in small sections using heated adhesive sticks or glue specifically made for hair extensions. Extension hair is added directly to your own hair. Hair is attached about ¼ “from your scalp and looks totally natural. You can use individual strands of hair if you want the effect only for a few months.

so in these definitions, I think you are coming with different ideas about Hair Extensions.

How Often Should I or When Should I Shampoo and Condition My Hair?

A.Want your hair to look its best, Shampoo and Condition your hair daily, morning is best. Some people can get away with Shampoo and Condition every other day.

Q. Which is the best Shampoo and Condition for my hair?

A. Best! I really do not believe there is such a product out there, you see what may be good today may change tomorrow companies are constantly trying to find alterative ways to reduce cost and improve profit.

I'd also be telling stories if I said take home hair care product from the hair salon are the only ones to use and are the best. Yes most hair salon take home products are very good to excellent and some are not as good as the super market ones.

It is simply trial and error; a few good rules to keep in mind, if hair is coloured use a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair it has a more gently effect on your hair, also even if you do not have coloured hair but have medium to tick hair or your scalp does not get oily quickly and you are sporty, work in a dusty environment and need to wash your hair daily I would recommended a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair.

If your hair is fine and gets oils quickly use a shampoo and conditioner for fine hair, you will find that the conditioner is a rinse rather than a balsam.

If you find that after using a new shampoo a few times and your scalp is getting flaky, simply stop using that shampoo and try a different brand,

Q. How Often, When, Why And What Type Of Brushes Do I Use?

A. Brush your hair daily, evening is best, brushing stimulates the scalp brings out your natural oils the brushing also spreads the natural oils through your hair and works like a conditioning treatment, use a soft bristle brush made of pig or horse hair.

Q. Should I brush my hair when it is wet?

A. Well, NO, but at some stage you are going to blow dry your hair so you are going to use a brush, the rule here is hair is in it's weakest state when wet, as long as you have applied some sort of serum to your hair and combed it through starting at the bottom working up and gently.

Q. After Washing My Hair Should I Rub or Wrap My Hair With A Towel?

A. Wrapping your will remove all exists water with out the harsh rubbing which causes fiction and breakage, also stimulates your scalp and if you have fine hair it will bring out the oils and make your hair look and feel oily.

Hair Extension - Hot News

Paps invade Paris' hair band party:

Hair Extensions Paris Hair Band Prty Photo Gallery,Hair Extensions, Hair ExtensionParis Hilton at the launch party of the Bandit hair band

Arriving more than an hour late, a pouting Paris Hilton knew exactly how to play up the publicity for her new hair extension hair band, 'The Bandit'.

After posing for pictures in a short pastel-blue 50s jumpsuit, the heiress quickly changed into an even skimpier white swimsuit with the word 'Paris' spelt out in rhinestones on the front, and 'Hilton' spelt out on the back just above her bum.

An army of invited reporters and film crews joined party guests at the 'secret' mansion by the sea in Malibu. But the proceedings were also watched by more than a dozen paparazzi who managed to gate-crash the party by scrambling on to the beach with their long lenses.

Paris didn't disappoint, leading out a special swimsuit fashion show in the sand, with her own album playing as a soundtrack.

Then addressing her friends, fans and photographers, she said: "Let's enjoy the day, it's a beautiful day in Malibu, it's almost the end of the summer, so let's celebrate."

The infamous party-girl later admitted that she loved to change her appearance constantly with things like extensions: "I think it's an important part of your look for your hair to be looking good and I've had short hair for a long time which I love but it's fun with the Bandit."

Paris wasn't shy to admit that looks are everything to her: "It's very important, image is what my brand is and who I am."

Wavy Hair Styles Tips

Wavy Hair Styles:

A wavy hairstyle is one in which the hair bends and curves in soft, open wave-like formations. Natural waves are genetically determined in each individual and can change due to factors such as time, health, hormones, medication as well as certain because they determine how much weight is pulling down on the hair shaft.

Wavy hair needs to be cut and groomed by a Shaping and weight determination can make or break any particular look. Wavy hairstyles can also be achieved with naturally types by using chemicals and rollers.

Benefits:

Wavy hairstyles can be styled straight with the use of styling aids, and by adjusting the weight through the layers (longer, heavier layers create weight and reduce waves while more layers reduce weight and increase bounce).
If you want a smoother, straighter result, beware of short layers. Also can be a problem because they can make shorter hair wispy in the mid-lengths and appear frizzy.

Tips:

There are lots of wavy hairstyles to choose from, and with a good consultation you should find something that complements your features and attributes.

Thinking of getting hair extensions?

* The topic of extensions can be confusing. There are so many brand-name application methods that differ by the materials used and the type of extension hair. If you have any questions about the types of extensions available, just ask your stylist.

* Check with your stylist to find out the best maintenance and care regime for the particular type of extensions you choose. Since extensions can cause breakage and damage to your natural hair, they must be maintained properly.

* Human hair extensions work best if you're going for a natural look, since they most closely match the texture and color of your existing hair. If you want extensions that make a statement, like those that are vibrant red, blue, green or orange, you're better off with synthetic hair. That's because synthetic hair offers many more color options to choose from.

* Extensions can be much heavier than your natural hair. If this idea bothers you, make sure to talk to your stylist about possibly adding fewer extensions.

* Some glues or adhesives used to attach extensions can cause allergic reactions, so make sure to let your stylist know about any allergies you have.

Hair Extensions Fusion Method

Basically in the fusion method about 20 to 50 strands of human extension hair have a warm protein glue applied all around it. Using a clear plastic template to isolate the portion of natural hair from the rest of the scalp, the glued extension hair is then attached to a small portion of a client's hair which is pulled through a hole in the template.

The two lots of hair are rolled together in the fingers until a smooth protein bond is made. Then work begins on another strand. This is why it takes so long to do this tedious procedure. However problems can occur with any fusing method if it is not done on super clean hair that is free of conditioner. Hair must be clean and free of greasiness or conditioners. Extension removal is best done in the salon where fusion remover and tools can be used to first soften then crack the glue bond.

Wavy Hair ExtensionTips

Summer is the time of wavy hair. It requires very little maintenance and you can wear loose curls from day to night.

Wavy hair is free and easy yet glamorous.

Follow these easy tips to get this hair:

- Wash your hair with a shampoo but do not use the conditioner because it usually makes the hair harder to curl.

- Towel-dry hair and blow-dry at medium heat until it is 90% dry.

- Next, wrap big sections of your hair on a medium to large barrel curling iron.

- Hold the hair tips with the iron clamp and twist upward. Keep in mind to stop halfway through the length of your hair. If you continue all the way through, you will create full-on curly hair.

- Spray hair all over with strong hairspray so that the waves can last longer. Don’t use too much hairspray, or you will end up with hard, brittle curls.

- Apply a finishing product to deal with any flyaway strands. But use it sparingly because too much can weigh your hair down.

- Run your fingers through your hair so that the curls come loose.

Synthetic Hair Maintenance

Before application, your own hair must be washed and completely dry. With any bonding technique, always start at the nape and work your way up to the crown. Prepare your equipment and Soft & Silky hair piece for use. Lastly, certain styles require different partitions. Decide on style before beginning.

The following are general washing and maintenance instructions for our synthetic products that the user can tailor to suit the specific style. Always ask your stylist for specific washing and maintenance instructions as different weave or braid procedures will determine proper care.

1 Detangle hair from ends to roots.
2 Wash in cool to lukewarm water with a mild shampoo. Never wash synthetic products in hot water as this might damage the fibers.
3 Follow with conditioner if desired. Rinse thoroughly in cool water.
4 Pat dry with a towel and let the hair air dry completely. Do not brush or comb when wet.
5 Styling is a snap since curly and wavy hair will curl back into position once completely dried.

Also, remember to style only when the hair is completely dry. Do not blow dry or apply heat as this can permanently damage the synthetic fibers.

Other Tips:
1 Stay away from braiding or weaving hair within two weeks of the last chemical application such as relaxants and colorants. The hair, which is already in a weakened state, may not be able to sustain the initial stress. The area around the hairline is especially sensitive.
2 For braided hair, pay close attention to the scalp by cleaning it with witch hazel or a similar product that has mild astringent properties. Hair should be conditioned underneath to prevent damage to your own hair.

Hair Extensions

Hair extensions were first practised back in the 1980’s, but were cast aside until recent years due to a lack of developed methods. They are actually pieces of hair that can be attached to your natural hair or scalp and they add to the thickness of your hair or the length. Understanding a little about hair extensions could spare you time and cash, particularly with all the various styles and fashions available in recent times. Just about everybody prefers natural human extensions as they’re generally easier to take care of than others out there.

They come in all kinds of varieties and can be pre-coloured, pre-highlighted or pre-permed with curls or a body wave. Depending on the method of applying them, you may need to have your hair extension re-applied after six or eight weeks, or they might last up to four months. Re-attaching is generally required because our natural hair continues to grow, the bonding agent becomes loose, life happens, and you’ll need to re-adjust and maintain your hair’s appearance.

Permanent Wave - Hair Extensions

If you think a permanent wave will suit your face, then you can go ahead with it. It is a style statement for many and can make an impact on everyone. Getting it professionally done at a hair salon is one of the important things you should keep in mind. A perm can be both permanent and temporary, and you can decide which one you want. It gives bounce to your hair and gives you a totally new look.

A permanent wave can also make your hair soft and add fullness to it. When getting your hair permed, remember that you should have very long hair and it should be well-conditioned and moisturized. Alooks Salon is a beauty salon and spa located on Post Street in San Jose. The beauty professionals at this downtown SJ hair salon will treat you to all the hair care you need. A perm costs $60+, haircut and styling for women is $45+, while for men it is $25+, deep conditioning is $20+, while root touch-ups and coloring starts at $50+. Medium Length Hair style Tips

Medium length hair style has many layered hairstyles that work well with medium length hair. You may be familiar with the “Rachel cut” from the 1990s. This was a very popular layered cut. More modern layered cuts include the Asteroid, which is a very punk layered cut. Layered cuts are great for fine hair, thick hair and curly hair.

If you have a natural wave or curl to your hair then your hairstyles will need to work with the texture of your hair. You will need to find a hair stylist who will be able to work with your curls to create wavy hairstyles or curly hair styles that will be flattering to your face shape and that will also not frizz out of control. Your final hair cut should provide you with several styling options and it should also look great as it grows out.

After selecting your medium length hairstyle you will next need to learn about the types of hair care products you will need to use to keep it looking great. If you color your hair you will need to buy shampoos and conditioners that are formulated to maintain the brilliance of your hair color. If you have curly hair you will need to buy hair care products that enhance and define your curls. Finally you will need general maintenance products that will help you fortify your hair, protect it from over-styling and to provide it with the nutrients that it needs to stay healthy.

Curly Hair Style Tips and Techniques

Curly Hairstyles - Hairstyles For Curly Hair:

Curly hairstyles present a look that can go with any occasion. Many people with curly hair often desire straight hair and those with straight hairstyles envy curly tresses. From those with naturally curly hairstyles, to those who just add them for deviating, stylish looks, curly hairstyles are a good way to figure in a little twirl, bounce, or ringlets to simple hairstyles.

There are plenty of hairstyles with curls because the curls append an extra touch to the hairstyles that cannot be duplicated. A downside to hairstyles with curls is that the hair craves a lot of care. Hairstyles with curls, can get frizzy, stressed, split ends, and other hair damaging types. When hairstyles are not moisturized enough, many problems can arise. Women with medium curly hairstyles will have to keep additional care of their hair because hair is in medium state where damaged edges and poofy hair likes to appear. There are still many appealing medium curly hairstyles for ladies with medium hair lengths. Short hairstyles and medium hairstyles look superb with the addition of some curly strands. So if you are looking for a diverse appeal, apply some curls to compliment hairstyles, or if your already enjoy long or short naturally curly hairstyles, keep the curls because they bring out such spring to make your curly hair beautiful but also try other styling methods.

Ideas for Curly Hairstyles:

1)Short Loose Curls:

Short Loose Curly HairstyleShort curls can really vamp up hairstyles. There was a time when short, curly hairstyles were the hot trend but now, these hairstyles are just a nice change up from the constant short crop or cut. This hairstyle uses very defined curls to create a great look. To produce this hairstyle, use a product like KMS Curl Up Bounce back Scrunching spray to keep curls loose and bouncy.

2)Longer Bouncy Curls:

Longer Bouncy Curly HairstyleThe next hairstyle features longer, unbound curls that just seem to natural fit into the look. Some hairstyles that use curls, just do not look right but this long hairstyle combines relaxed curls and long hair to frame the facial area and create a charming look. Because the hair is so long and the curls are loose, applying Curl Friends Control Gel to eliminate frizz helps complete the look and create alluring hairstyles.

3)Light Wavy and Curly:

Light Wavy and Curly HairstyleThis hairstyle emphasizes larger, wavy curls with lots of definition. Because the curls are loose, there is more frizziness, which makes using a frizz control product a necessity. The light curls of this hairstyle provide a boho wavy look. Another pleasing cut and selection for many women's hairstyles.

Hairstyle Tips For Curly Hair:

Maintain superior hair care with moisturizing shampoos, conditioners, and gels to insure outstanding hairstyles. There are many curly hairstyle goods available, use high quality items that are favorable for your hair. There are many ways to style curly locks for woman without natural curls, try a number of styling practices for distinct hairstyles.

Ringlets are an interesting way add curls to hairstyles without much work.Do not let the curly strands get too frizzy or poofy unless that's the style you are looking for.

Tips For Nixing the Hair Solutions:

*Keep It Cool!
Coolness combats frizzy hair by closing down the cuticle (outer) layer of each hair strand. And of course, heat has the opposite effect, obliterating moisture and amplifying frizz. So cool your hair in these two ways:

* A cool rinse (with either just water or vinegar/water) will close down the cuticle and add shine.

* After heat styling with a blowdryer, use the cool shot button on your hair dryer to cool down the section you're working with. That will increase the curl or volume you're creating and amplify the shine!

*Squeeze, Don't Rub!
When towel drying your hair, resist rubbing or creating any sort of friction. The best method for drying frizzy hair is to use a hand towel and squeeze the hair up from ends to roots.

*Keep It Trimmed!
Surely you've heard it before, but it warrants repeating...regular trims prevent split ends. It's stressed so often because of the nature of splitting hairs...they continue on up the hair strand, which exacerbates the frizz. And, once the hairs have split, the only way to repair the damage is to cut the hair above the split. So if it's a bounty of smooth curls you desire, trim it up at least every two months.

*Protect It!
Nature's elements can wreak havoc on frizzy hair. Sun, wind, and environmental humidity are the main culprits. Here's what you can do to defend against the harshness of the elements.

Curly Hair Style Techniques for Smooth and Tame Naturally Curly or Wavy Hair:

Curly Hairstyle
Preparing the Curls:

To begin, part and comb your hair in the shower while the conditioner is still in the hair. Comb gently from ends to roots with a wide toothed comb.

You are laying the foundation here for the finished curly hair style, so make sure it's parted where you want it. (Take a small mirror in the shower with you if you need a visual)

Tilt your head at a steep angle so the hair falls away from the scalp, wriggle your fingers through gently and rinse. Be sure to tilt to the right, left and back separately. Concentrate on rinsing the scalp most thoroughly.

The idea here is to clump the hairs together. (oooh, doesn't that sound attractive) When strands of curls are separated, they tend to be fuzzier. We want to form smooth, defined curls.

Drying Curly Hair:

Drying Curly Hairstyle

Tilt your head to all three angles again (side/back/side), pile the ends into the towel and squeeze from ends to roots.

Allowing the hair to fall away from the scalp prevents that oh-so-common flat top/wide bottom scenario by lifting and encouraging the wave pattern at the root. Squeeze hard and push against the scalp gently.

DO NOT COMB!! Apply your chosen curly hair product by either scrunching in gently from ends to roots or spraying if that's the case. Tilting works here too and will help ensure that you get the product underneath, especially near the scalp.

Avoid raking your fingers through the hair so you don't separate the curls. If your hair tends to be flat on the top, lift sections gently and spray the roots underneath those top sections.

Let your hair dry naturally, scrunching occasionally, or diffuse by tilting to all three angles again (even upside down, but carefully), gently piling the ends of the hair into the diffuser and pressing it up against the scalp.

Again, if your hair tends to be flat on top, make sure you're lifting those root sections slightly as you dry, the shape hair dries in is the shape it'll hold until it's washed again.

Stop diffusing when the hair is still slightly damp, not visibly though. This will prevent frizzy hair and brittleness from over drying.

The less you disturb the hair during this process, the better your results will be. This technique effectively clumps the strands together, creating a well-defined curl or wave pattern and maximum shine while reducing frizz.

Once the hair is dry you needn't be quite as cautious, looser curls can even be brushed gently and individually for more fullness and a slightly softer look. However, if your curls are very tight or tend to be fuzzy, stay away from brushes altogether!

celebrity hairstyle close up:

Model Sophia Milos Curly Hairstyle
This celebrity curly hairstyle belongs to model and actor Sophia Milos. Out of the many celebrity hairstyles, hers seem to retain a particular touch to them. This hairstyle accentuates very small and tight curls throughout the tresses, creating a very unique, ravishing look. Because this hairstyle gives prominence to an open face scope with the lack of bangs, it is more complimentary to oval and heart facial shapes. The key to the hairstyle is to keep curls tight and bouncy which could require some clarifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner as well as other hair products.

Things to Avoid:-
Scan the list of "Don'ts" below to make sure you're not unknowingly contributing to the problem.

* Fine tooth combs and brushes
* Excessive heat styling
* Touching hair while it's drying
* High alcohol content in styling products (firm hold gels and hairsprays)
* Any sort of friction on the hair

Consider yourself armed with sufficient knowledge to challenge the frizz and come out victorious. Combine all of the tips here for best results.

Top 10 Short Hair Extension Features & Tips

Are you looking for the perfect short hair cut? Or maybe you need a few tips on hair care, fashion, beauty, style or how to manage and maintain the hair style you already have? If so, you've found the right place to begin exploring all the fun and news about hair.

A short hair style that suits you and your lifestyle can dramatically change the way you feel and look-- it can boost your confidence, make you look younger, and reduce the amount of time and money you spend on hair care.

Short Hair ExtensionsA good short hair cut has the right proportions and includes all the basic elements of balance, line and movement. The cut should be manageable and the hair should look great in its natural form even before it is styled. Selecting a short hair cut style means choosing from curly styles, layered hair cut, bobs, and bangs, among many options.

Knowing the shape of your face will help you choose the short hair cut style that is right for you and will also help you to communicate better with your hair stylist. And good communication is key to a successful outcome at the salon!

The Right Hair Cut:

Short Hair Cut
Choosing the right hair cut is part technique and part art. The first step in finding the right hair style always comes down to determining facial structure.

Each face has its own unique structure. The shape of your face and head has a major role to play in the type of hair style you can wear best.

Short Hair Cut Style Knowing the shape of your face before you head to the salon will help you choose the right hair style and will help you to communicate better with your stylist.

The Right Haircut for Your Face:

Diamond Face: Narrow forehead, small pointy chin, and wide cheeks.

Heart face: Wide, short forehead, and small pointy chin.

Oval face: High forehead and narrow, slightly rounded chin.
Haircut & Style: This is the most balanced face shape and almost perfect for any type of hair style.

Rectangle face: Long face with high forehead and long jaw and chin. Also known as long face shape.

Round face: Wide, short forehead, full jaw and chin.

Square face: A wide, short forehead and square jaw.

Triangular face: Narrow at the temples, slightly wider at the cheeks and widest at the jaw line.

Remember to note distinctive features like your nose, cheekbones, or jaw line. You can then decide to downplay or highlight these features with the short hair cut style you choose. The real trick is to pick hairstyles that enhance your best features while camouflaging any flaws.

Please remember that this face shape concept is only a simple hair cut guide and there are exceptions. Sometimes it's difficult to distinguish two face shapes from each other and you may not get an exact match. But usually these classifications of face shapes will help you select a better style for your face.

Many celebrities like Keira Knightley who are constantly changing their strands, will opt for wigs and half-wigs to do an instant hair alteration.

When it comes to films and taking on new roles, actresses are used to being required to alter their natural hair length, style and color for the character they are playing.

Keira is no stranger to hair extensions although she appeared to let her hair grow out on its own as demonstrated by her appearance at the 78th Academy Awards lunch in early 2006, approximately one year after her short haircut made its dramatic debut.

Based on the length of her hair one year later, it is most likely that Keira was wearing her own carefully grown out tresses.

Right Hair Cut in Short Hair Extensions
Keira's short haircut could best be described as a cross between a graduated bob and a long cap. It was definitely very flattering for the young beauty.

Keira has an oval face shape although depending on how thin her face it, her chin may be more prominent at times.

The front of her hair was long and draped from mid crown down and over one eye. Her cut had great face framing angles, especially around the sides which was a great silhouettes. Her hair was cut much shorter at the nape of the neck.

Shampoo and condition your hair with your normal products designed for your current hair type, texture and condition.

If your hair is highlighted like Keira's (if you look closely you will see Keira's subtle highlights and lowlights. use either a moisture enhanced or color enriched formula. If your hair is dry from chemical processing, consider diluting the shampoo formula to protect your strands.

Many times the hair extensions are so artfully applied that they are completely concealed on the short hair of the person they are applied to.

Hair extensions and wigs have been used since they were first invented to make it easy for anyone with short hair to instantly morph into a look of long strands.

Besides adding length to short strands, hair extensions can also add much needed volume for fine or thinning tresses. They can also be used to add instant hair color when the goal is to try on a new hue but skip the chemical damage cycle.

One of the most challenging aspects of attaching extensions to short styles is making sure that there is enough native hair on the scalp to actually attach the add-on strands. Some hair extension experts will refuse to apply hair extensions to native hair that is short. This is because they feel that they can not get the results that they desire or they may be frustrated by the inability to easily merge the add-on strands with the natural hair.

There are a number of ways that hair extensions are applied including fusion, a variety of locks and when hair is long enough, pinch braiding.

The most popular method of applying hair extensions to super short strands is through a form of glue or fusion. The biggest challenge with adding extensions to short hair is making sure that it blends well so that the add-on strands do not stand out. A low key blending is the goal.

A talented hair extension expert will usually require that you have at least 1 inch of hair in order to have extensions applied. The native hair length would also be required for add-on ponytails or braids. Keep in mind that there needs to be something for the add-on tresses to be able to grip onto and hold in place.

When native hair is super short, the extensions must not be too long or too heavy or they can not be effectively anchored to the existing native hair. If the natural hair is too short to hold extensions, consider a light and airy lace-front wig.

Top Ten Tips for Short Hair:

Top Ten Tips for Short Hair

1.) Research:
Once you commit to going short – do your homework! There are many interpretations of short hair from “boyish crops”, to soft textured layers. Look in magazines and consult to find the elements of what pleases you.

2.) Talent search:
Make sure that the person you choose to remove your length has a flair for the shorter looks. Making short hair work appropriately is a balance of shape, texture, products, and respect for fabric. Make sure you and your stylist are on the same page.

3.) Commitment to maintenance:
Short hair not only requires more trips to the salon to maintain the look, but also may require more work or different skills than you are used to. Short hair is not a license to always go care-free. Often it may take more work to bring short styles to life.

4.) Consider your fabric:
Since you are removing hair as well as bulk, you must determine if the desired end result will be complimentary to your hairs’ fabric. Like clothing, a skirt made of wool, and a skirt made of silk will have a different drape and flow, so make sure the two elements blend for your style.

5.) Consider your face shape:
The beauty of short hair is you can tweak the shape to enhance or distract from certain features. However, since you now have less hair to deal with, consider what you want to bring to the forefront and what you want to diminish when determining your chosen face shape, and make sure you have enough hair left to achieve your goal!

6.) Consider the feeling:
Once your hair is short, styling products can become your best friend as it will allow you to change the “feeling” of the cut. From dramatic sleek looks by slicking your hair back, to adding waxes or pastes to create the “funk-factor”, lesser lengths free up your creativity to achieve a variety of moods.

7.) Compliment with color:
Strategic placement of interesting hair color effects can add even more dramatic response to your crop. Multi-dimensional color tricks, balayage, or foils will give your hair interest and excitement.

8.) Compliment with texture:
Once heavy or lifeless hair may now respond better to texturizing chemicals and hot tools. Also where in the past texturizing from cutting tools may have been treacherous, may now be your lifesaver. Spot perms in the crown may add lift, or a quick twist of a curling iron, may help you tackle some of Mother Nature’s greatest challenges.

9.) Don’t be afraid to take baby steps:
If you have not had short hair in a while or at all, it may take getting used to. Do not feel you have to shear it all off in one sitting. You may benefit from going from collar bone, to mid neck, to jaw line, to a crop in successive visits. No need to commit all at once as the journey of finding the perfect short cut may be just as fun!

10.) Take a lap through the mall:
If you are new to short hair and have recently shorten your locks, your longer hair is no longer hiding your face. Makeup and jewelry can really tie the whole picture together. Compliment your look with the right amount of makeup as short hair becomes a more pertinent part of your face rather than an adornment thereof. Complimenting your look with makeup and earrings makes your short hair a statement of sexy confidence, rather than one of convenience.

Different Ways of Installing Hair Extensions

There are 4 ways of installing hair extension that are common among hair stylist. Thos 4 ways are explained below.

Clip In Hair Extensions

Clip in hair extensions will damage your hair the least of all the hair extensions. Clip in hair extensions are an easy way of adding texture, length and volume. You can apply these extensions by separating your hair, and then you can simply clip in the extensions to your own hair, starting from the nape of your neck and working your way up your head. You just open the clips and then snap them into place. How much you put in totally depends on the what look you are going for, but because they are so easy to install you can give it a few tries till you like what you end up with. To get the best result you should style your own hair and the hair extensions separately.

Different Ways of Installing Hair Extensions
Bonding Weaves

Bonding weaves are installed by cutting a length of hair to fit the shape of your head. You can then part your hair and then glue the extension in just below the part. This form of extension can be achieved at home with relative easy. The glue can be bought at any good hair and wig store. The removal can also be done at home; you can buy the removal serum from the store. So make sure that you have the removal serum before you attempt to install this type of extension because it will be the only way that you will be able to remove the extension with out doing serious damage to your hair.

Bonding or Sealing

This way of installing hair extensions is were you plaited the human hair extensions into your real hair, theses plaits are then painted with a bonding solution, this will seal the extension around the hair. This form of installing hair extensions can last for up to four months, after around four months the bonds holding the hair together will start to loosen. This type of installation must be done by a professional; if you try to do it yourself you may happen to damage your hair. You will also need to get a professional to take out the extensions for the same reason. As with the getting them installed the removal of the extensions should only be done by a professional if it is not done by a professional the process can damage your hair very badly.

Different Ways of Installing Hair Extensions
Fusion method

The last way to install hair extensions is the fusion method this lesser know method needs to be installed by a professional. The fusion method is achieved by getting 20-50 strands of the hair extension have a warmed protein glue on them and then a plastic template to separate the sections of the hair, keeping it away from your scalp. Then each section of the hair extension is glued to your hair and then the glued together sections of hair and hair extension are pulled through holes on the plastic template. You should put your hair into rollers to ensure a smooth bond is formed.

Maintenance of Extensions

After you have your hair extensions in place, you will need to schedule regular maintenance visits to check your extensions. How often you need to go back will depend on the type of hair and the method of attachment that was used. As your hair grows out, some of the hair extensions will need to be removed and replaced or touched up.

On a day-to-day basis you should treat your human hair extensions as you would long hair. Brush, shampoo, condition and moisturize on a regular basis. Some hair stylists will recommend specific high-quality hair care products to use with your extensions. You can also use hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons on most types of human hair extensions. Color treatments can be done on the hair extensions, but you should consult with your hair stylist before considering this. Monthly color touch-ups to your roots will not be a problem, as the hair extensions will not be touched.

In short, here are ten tips to follow after you have decided you want to get hair extensions and have selected a beauty salon.

1.After selecting a salon, schedule an initial consultation to discuss what you would like to have done and any concerns that you have.

2. Ask about what hair extension experience your hair stylist has and where they received their training.

3. Make sure the hair stylist listens and understands your needs and concerns. Does he/she communicate well with you?

4. The hair stylist should ask you about your lifestyle, health, hobbies and your normal hair routine

5. An analysis of your scalp and hair should be done at the initial consultation to make sure your hair is in a condition for successful hair extensions.

6. Ask to see before and after photos of hair extension clients

7. Ask for references and be sure to call them

8. Ask how often the average client needs to replace the hair. This is very important for anticipating future costs

9. Get a written estimate for your hair extensions with an itemized list of the services required to achieve your new look

10.Get a written maintenance plan. Plan should include recommendations for products, grooming tools, follow-up appointments and any special instructions.

After you have hair extensions, it is very important that you take care of them properly. Some methods will require the use of special shampoos and styling appliances. There may be recommendations from your stylist in reference to sleeping, brushing, swimming, shampooing and styling your hair extensions. Regular maintenance is also an important step to keep the hair healthy and looking good. Long hair requires work. So make plans to put your time in??. as well as your money!

Different Grades of Hair

People often wonder how you can tell the difference between Grades A, B, C & D human hair. Clip in hair extensions can be made of any grade hair. Being satisfied with grade C hair is unlikely. The hair will feel different, not last very long and dry up easily. Grade A hair still has its cuticle in place. A clip in hair extension made with grade A hair will look and feel thick, smooth and soft.

Here is a break up showing you the differences in grades of clip in hair extensions -

Examples talk of 18inch clip in hair -

Our Hair is true -

Grade A - 100% Human hair, hand selected remi, cuticle in place and aligned. 95% of the hair is 18inches in length. Which means that the ends of the hair extensions are as thick as the middle and top? This type of hair is perfect for clip in hair extensions.

Grade B - 100% Human Hair, remi, cuticle sometimes in place and sometimes non-aligned - causes tangles. 70% of the hair is 18inches in length. This means 30% of the hair on the extension may only be 10inches, leaving a thinner end, the hair is sometimes stretched to make it appear longer, this is unacceptable for hair extensions.

Grade C - 100% Human Hair, non remi, no cuticle. 40% of the hair is 18inches in length. The hair is sometimes 'stretched' to make it appear longer. This means very thin ends!

Grade D - Yaki hair, synthetic and human mixed. 40% of the hair is 18inches in length. Thin ends and poor texture.

A good check idea is to ask a supplier to explain what makes their grade A clip ins 'grade A.’ Ask for all the details about width as well as length. A great supplier will always be happy to give you all the information you require.

What do Celebrities Wear?

So who gets hair extensions? Many celebrities get hair extensions for various movie roles. The celebrity factor is what has catapulted the popularity of hair extensions over the last 5 years. When you see magazine covers with famous actors having long, flowing natural looking long hair, you begin to think that maybe you could get the same look. Once thought as a rich person?s service, hair extensions have become much more affordable and even practical for everyday consumers.

Celebrities hair extensionWithin the industry of sessions styling it is well known that clip in extensions have been used for years. Clip ins were the extension trade secret of the stylists that worked at photo shoots and catwalks! Hair extensions, whether applied with glue, bonds or sewn in all have related problems. The clip in hair extension has far moved on from the days of the trashy high ponytail claw clip. Most importantly they are the only type of extension that doesn't damage your hair in any way and they truly do look as fabulous and real as the other type of extensions currently available. Why wouldn't they! After all they are made using the exact same beautiful quality hair as a glue extension system. The only difference is the use of a clip.

Many of my clients were secretly wearing the clip in hair extension long before people knew they existed. Clip ins enabled me to dramatically change a clients appearance in a realistic way. I think the greatest advantage is being able to style the extensions before my clients are even in sight. Before a model sets foot on a photo shoot the design team are busy creating mood boards and sampling textures and ideas. Every detail of the project from shoe color to hair texture is determined before hand. On the morning of the shoot I can often be found surrounded by beautifully styled hair that isn't even attached to a persons head. The models arrive, I prep their hair, clip in the extension and off they trot to make-up. It makes my job a dream, all the prep work can be done before hand without the stresses you normally go through on set.

Now that the clip in extension is so easily available to the public the trends you see on catwalks will easily be achievable to the masses. Saturday nights out will see girls fashioning fabulous healthy looking hair more so than ever before. I think clip in extensions are here to stay for the long run, whether on set, in the salon or at home!

Permanent or Semi Permanent Extensions

With regard to permanent hair extensions, which in truth can only ever be semi permanent hair extensions (the type supposed to last up to 4 months), a great deal of my research was not favorable. Messages were full of dire warnings about hair coming out in lumps because of poor extension application, glue clumping or worse than poor application - disastrous hair extension removal.
Extensions provides professionally applied 100% human hair extensions, all of which have been tried, tested and proven to be safe. Only the highest quality products are used, and all of the hair comes from some of the world.

I came to one simple conclusion - my choice would be to avoid the permanent hair extensions that last about 4 to 16 weeks. I quickly learnt that people who wash their hair daily as I do, soon find long term hair extensions shed slowly with each hair shampoo wash. My hairdresser even told me that all that was often required to remove them was lots of thick hair conditioner to soften the glue bonds and whoosh they'd soon loosen out even without special bond removers. It seemed even hair washing itself could also be problematic with showering seeming the best method of washing the hair extensions to prevent too much tangling.

Whichever method permanent extensions are attached, it is best if they are shampooed just twice a week. I also discovered that with various bonded extensions, wearers were also expected to go back to the hairdresser to have loose extensions reattached as a matter of course at a 'check up' appointment.

Stylish, sexy and absolutely safe. Truly gorgeous extensions, expertly tailored and individually created for the look of your dreams.

Methods / Skills of Application

According to articles everywhere, how extensions stayed put on an individual head, was certainly dependant on the method and skill of the application. Even then, there would be a strong chance of shedding with time. Alarm bells rang for me - maintenance on hair extensions seemed heavy to me. I drew the conclusion they were not for me. I also pondered on the fact that I simply might not like wearing them 24/7 especially with the don't wash them daily advice. Many had to keep using them because they had used extensions too often without resting the scalp and hair. Then it became more and more difficult to rectify scalp damage without having hair cut pixie short.

My research also suggested that even the most expensive top salon methods of application can still cause some damage to hair. The wearer is also responsible for looking after the extensions well too. A scratchy plastic ball end hairbrush should never be used on extensions. The use of the correct hairbrush such as a Mason Pearson or a paddle brush is important. The best comb to use is a saw tooth comb rather than a cheap molded comb, which can catch and break extension hair and your own hair.

Sleeping on the hair in an awkward way can pull at your own hair, so can leaning back and catching the long hair extensions when driving. All this can create extra stress and breakage on your own hair.

However they may well be for you for a special event. Daily wear of them simply does not appeal to me. Instead I decided to opt for clip-in human hair extensions. I knew I only wanted to wear the hair extensions for occasional use rather than everyday. Even clip-in extensions if put in incorrectly or removed without care can also cause a little hair damage too. But clip in hair extensions may be perfect for photographic makeovers and the like.

Are u ready to wear Hair Extensions?

Hair Extensions can be worn from several days to several months, depending on the methods used to attach them. These techniques transform the look from boring to BRILLIANT and GLAMOROUS. The secret of how one can get long, gorgeous hair is safe and makes people say that it is all by special hair growth vitamins.

Thus, Hair Extensions absolutely are methods to which one becomes completely addicted and surely become turning heads in just a few hours!

Hair extensions can not only simplify your hairstyling, but they give hair a ton of body. Always go for extensions that match your hair color & texture & be prepared to shell out some bucks (from $250 to $1000).

At first, extensions were worn only by the very wealthy or celebrities who could afford the then exorbitant cost of laborious all day application. Others followed when they saw what was possible when hair extensions were applied in a glamorous way. In particular black women used hair extensions to improve upon hair texture that some found difficult to tame. It became common to see pop singers sport a wide range of looks that centered around hair extensions.

Clip in hair extensions Now ordinary people certainly consider hair extensions for special events such as weddings, Christmas and holidays. Some people may even consider extensions for cosmetic/medical reasons. Or you might simply like to treat yourself to some as a birthday, Valentine's Day or Christmas gift. Hair extensions can also be ideal as fancy dress addition to create a totally different image.

About Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are now more popular than they have ever been, thanks in large part to celebrities using them. Hair extension, a safer way to beautiful hair, is a type of external hair or any other hair-like material that gets fused with the original hair. This technique gives a fresher look and attracts the youths of today’s world. Hair Extension technique adds a sizzling look to people and provides a constant beauty supply to the hair. As the popularity of hair extension is tremendous, it’s becoming a great usage curve for people trying out this technique. More and more women are making hair extensions part of their beauty routine because they are extremely affordable. Many products found at the trendy, fashionable online wig and hair extensions store.

Clip-on hair extensions are a good way to start if you've never used them before, and wonder what it would be like to have long hair again; if you like them, then consider the more permanent and more expensive hair extensions. "Today extensions can be clipped into place with a few simple steps and can add natural body or length to hair."

Of course it's much easier to add extra length than cutting off all your hair. Depending on your hair growth rate, you might have to wait three to six months, if not longer, to get all your hair back.

Whatever makeover you think you'll decide to try--long, medium, or short--blonde, brunette, red, or black--see if you can get it to match your personality and be a good representation of the new you.

Make a choice that will last more than a few hours based on something deeper than your mood. Give it a few days or even a week before you decide. Let the idea 'grow' on you and then you may want to ask your friends if they agree with your plan.

One can have extensions that include curly hair, fusion hair or with the highest grade Remy hairs. These extensions promisingly result in long, thick gorgeous hair look. Sometimes it becomes important to look up to the other side of hair extension techniques which results in damage to the hair if not done properly. Ready made answers to questions as “What will work well for your hair, and may not work for someone else?”, “Will your hair hold extra weight of extensions?”, and “Will you spend extra time and money to take care of them?” are a must to think about.

Hair extensions and wigs used to be associated with illness, but with the increased celebrity exposure, they are seen today as in vogue fashion accessories.
